Recently, I’ve notice a lot of media around Chris Brown. His performance at the VMA’s being widely and enthusiastically received. It saddens me so much for Rihanna, imagine someone beating you so badly, having it nationally publicized, that person barely serving any sort of sentence and then having him applauded at an award show.
I am a domestic violence survivor, and please listen when I tell you, people like that do not change. Their anger may lay dormant for a while, but it will never go away. Abuse is about power and control, and the desire for those two things can not be taken away by some sort of bullshit therapy. Chris Brown was barely given a slap on the wrist, after beating his girlfriend, who he was supposed to LOVE.
No amount of singing and dance, no theatrical performances are going to change each punch and kick and bite. And it never should. Please reblog.

DON’T IGNORE REBLOG PLEASE . this is my grandma . she’s had cancer for about two years , but we didn’t find out till last year . she lives in El Salvador but we brought her here to get exams done and have chemotherapy done . we didn’t know she had cancer till she came here , we thought she just had a stomach virus . but we were wrong . she had colon cancer & it had already spead throught her whole body . now for a year she’d been fighting this cancer . she stopped taking chemotherapy after 5 months cause she said she rather die peacefully . she’s back at her country now , fighting this cancer with my aunt who lives there . but day by day she dies more and more inside . she can no longer eat or drink anything . she only drinks water . she can’t get up & she’s always thowing up . she can barely hear or speak . but she’s trying hard to get threw this . please , show you care for those who suffer a life with cancer & reblog .

So, this is Olivia and she’s my brothers…wife’s sister. Isn’t she beautiful? Yeah. She’s 14 years old. When she was born she was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. My sister-in-law told me that she gets made fun of where ever she goes. Her family and friends are really the only people who are there for her. People like this shouldn’t get neglected just because they may look a little different on the outside. Just because she spends most of her day in a wheelchair, doesn’t mean that she deserves to be made fun of. She may not be able to walk, or talk as well. She may need a little help every now and then, but she still has a heart, just like every single human being in this world. Some people are cruel, and call her retarded. That’s not true. She’s the brightest girl I’ve ever met. When I met her for the first time I seriously almost cried, she was so beautiful and so inspirational. Olivia recently told me her favorite song was “Born To Be Somebody”. It fits her so perfectly, because this world can make her feel so small. Olivia’s here, and she’s here to stay.
